Participation in Science Olympiad has exposed students to various fundamental concepts in many branches of science and how they apply to the real world. This exposure sparks critical thinking in the next generation of problem solvers and innovators. Students will also learn critical communication/social skills as they navigate through the unique and ever-changing challenges that SciOly provides.
An important part of Science Olympiad is the ability to work with other teammates. Participation in Science Olympiad requires working closely with your partners in each of your events, as well as maintaining good relationships with other teammates in general. Our club values members who care for others' success and want to see the whole club succeed. Students in our club should not only be thinking about the medals and achievements they may get in their individual events, but rather the role that they play in a team much bigger than themselves.
A large part of Science Olympiad is the hard work that our members put in to get better results. Members of our club are expected to put in considerable effort and be disciplined while studying/improving for their events. Science Olympiad requires commitment throughout the school year, and therefore our club values members who are diligent and will be able to perform and improve throughout the year.
